Largest contract to date for the battery storage system manufacturer

Wittenberg, Germany, 4 October 2021 – The Schaper Group is working with battery storage system manufacturer Tesvolt to implement a range of “green hydrogen” projects. It is the largest contract in the history of the Wittenberg-based company, with the collaboration promising revenues of around EUR 40 million for Tesvolt by 2023. The Schaper Group is installing Tesvolt energy storage systems with a total capacity of up to 40 megawatt hours (MWh) for the hydrogen pioneer Apex Group. The intelligent battery storage solutions offer hydrogen electrolysers a reliable power supply when solar or wind systems fail to produce sufficient energy.

New service portal for installers of energy storage systems

Wittenberg/Germany, 1 December 2020 – Tesvolt recently made it particularly easy for tradespeople worldwide to obtain certification for the installation of their storage systems. On the new service portal, they can watch training videos at any time. Afterwards, they receive certification directly if they answer the questions correctly. Vouchers for the online training courses can currently be won in the online Advent calendar. The service portal also supports installers in all steps before and after the sale of energy storage systems.

Tesvolt supplies 2 MWh storage system for 100-percent green power

Wittenberg/Germany, 8 October 2020 – Europe’s largest charging park for electric vehicles will open on Friday at the Kreuz Hilden junction. The first construction phase of the “Seed & Greet” charging park is complete and 44 charging stations from various operators are ready, including Europe’s fastest charging stations from Tesla and Fastned. All the charging stations are supplied with 100-percent green power from sources including a large photovoltaic installation on the charging park’s carports and the high-performance storage devices from the German manufacturer Tesvolt.

Tesvolt delivers storage system for Patagonia National Park

Chacabuco/Chile, Wittenberg/Germany, 09/09/2020 – A “run-of-the-river” hydroelectric power station, photovoltaic installation, and battery storage system have been combined to provide facilities in the Patagonia National Park with electricity from renewable energy sources. The park is part of one of the most important nature conservation projects in the world. It was established by the founder of North Face, Douglas Tompkins, and his wife Kristine, previously CEO of the outdoor clothing company Patagonia. The aim of their foundation, Tompkins Conservation, is to rewild the region after decades of heavy overgrazing and desertification.

Charging with 100% green power at the Kreuz Hilden junction in Germany

Wittenberg/Hilden, Germany, 22 April 2020 — The German manufacturer Tesvolt is supplying energy storage containers offering a total capacity of 2 megawatt hours (MWh) for Europe’s largest electric car charging park at the Kreuz Hilden junction. Various companies will offer a total of 114 charging stations, including 40 V3 Tesla Superchargers and 22 fast charging stations from Dutch supplier Fastned. Every charging station will be supplied with 100-percent green power, sourced in part from a large rooftop photovoltaic installation above the charging park....

Demand for storage systems on the rise despite COVID-19

Wittenberg/Germany, 1 April 2020 – Semi-automated production begins today in Europe’s first gigafactory for commercial battery storage systems, located in Wittenberg, Germany. Over 150,000 euros in savings per generation of salmon 

Wittenberg/Germany, 12 November 2019. The Norwegian fish farming company Kvarøy uses a large-scale storage system developed by Tesvolt at its salmon farm located off the island of Selsøyvær in the Norwegian Sea. Mounted on a floating platform, lithium batteries with a total storage capacity of 158 kilowatt hours (kWh) have brought the diesel generators’ operating time down from 24 hours each day to just three. In raising a generation of salmon — a process which takes about 18 months — the company saves between 150,000 and 200,000 euros and also reduces its carbon footprint....

Tesvolt delivers 4-megawatt high-voltage storage system to a solar park in West Sussex

West Sussex, 31 October 2018 — The first municipal battery storage system project in the UK has been installed in the county of West Sussex. The solar farm has a 7.4-megawatt (MW) output and stabilizes the power grid together with a 4.4-MW lithium storage system from German manufacturer Tesvolt. Thanks to the high-voltage storage system, the local government earns additional money with grid services. Thus, the system runs completely free of subsidies. It was commissioned mid of October at a 35-hectare former landfill site in Westhampnett and the test runs have finished successfully....
